People and Daily Life

Many people lived at my mission like soldiers and the Costanoan Indians. The soldiers' job was to protect the presidio, and the Costanoan Indians' job was to take care of the mission. At sunrise, a bell rang to signal church services were starting. The native americans and Catholic priests attended mass. After church the adult California Indians went to work. The plowed fields, raised livestock, made bricks, and made olive oil. There was no good soil for crops, so they made blankets for the presidio. The Costanoan Indians were in my region.
